Stars
Hang stars from your bedroom ceiling. Take about
4 dozen star shaped gift tags and write messages on them. The messages
can be special things about his/her qualities that you admire in romantic
*code language*, etc.
-
-Exploring
Together
Take some time out for a nice drive to get away from it
all together. Head out in a direction you have never been before
and look for some nice out of the way places you have never been before.
You might even find a little town or piece of landscape that will become
a favorite romantic spot for the two of you. Going exploring together
can be a lot of fun.
-
-Walk
'n Talk
Whether it's an oceanside or lakeside beach, a set of
country trails, or a safe nearby neighborhood, going for a walk together
can be a wonderful time of sharing and catching up with each other.
Of course, be sure to take every opportunity to hold hands while walking
together.
-
-Read
My Lips
Whenever you are out in public or around people, take
a moment to catch his/her attention and simply move your lips to say, "I
love you" without actually vocalizing the words. This can become
a very special way of communicating your love that you two can share together.
-
-A
Shared Hobby
Many people have hobbies in which their special someones
are not particularly interested. Perhaps you can find something that
you both like doing together (e.g. fishing, bicycling, jogging, antique
hunting, etc.). If not, then go the extra step of the way and take
part in his/her hobby by going along for the ride and being supportive. |

-Something
Old, Something New
There is always a favorite pair of shoes that begs to
be polished or repaired. Make it a surprise by presenting your love
with something old made to look brand new.
-
-Special
Delivery
Which meal of the day is one that you both usually run
by or do not share together? Surprise your special someone by preparing
it for him/her and then either delivering it or sharing it together.
-
-Say
"I Love You" with Postcards
If you have 8 postcards you can put one letter ( I L O
V E Y O U ) on
each card and mail them a few days apart. Of course you can write
whatever phrase you want and even mix them up before you send them
off.
-
-Hidden
Message
Cut
letters or words out of a magazine that declares your message of love.
Paste them on to a piece of paper (perhaps colored paper or something with
a pattern on it) and then hide it in the book or magazine your love is
currently reading.
-
-An
Inside Picnic
Too
cold outside to have a picnic or are you just wanting to enjoy some romantic
moments together? Spread a blanket out on the floor (perhaps in front
of the fireplace) and lay out a nice luncheon, dinner, or snack tray.
If you both enjoy wine, chill a bottle and share it using two long stemmed
glasses or some regular glasses in keeping with the picnic theme.
Hmmm, what's for dessert? As if you didn't know.
-
-A
sMall Gift Hunt
Plan an evening trip to the mall together. Agree
upon an equal money amount, a time limit, and a final meeting place.
Shop for a gift for each other and then present it when you are done.
This is one time when you got a gift for each other at the same time. |
-
-
-Tell
the World
Find a nice photograph of the two of you together and have it
placed on a couple of tee-shirts, some mugs, or anything else that you
can show off publically. This is a fun way to tell the world of your
love for each other.
-
-Just
Married or Not
Drive around with a *Just Married* sign posted on your
car. Act like newlyweds and enjoy the honks and waves from passers
by. You won't be lying if you are working at keeping your relationship
young, fresh, and new.
-
-Hide-a-Gift
Buy your loved one a special gift,
wrap it up nicely, and then hide it. While you are either away on
a business trip or at work, call him/her to reveal where the gift is hidden.
It's a wonderful way to demonstrate your love when you are away.
-
-Sticky

Keep a handy supply of sticky notes. Use them to
write those quick little "I love you" notes and be sure to place them where
your lover will find them without being too obvious.

Little
Kisses by Robert Herrick
Give me a kiss,
Add to that kiss a score;
Then to that twenty,
Add a hundred more:
A thousand to that hundred:
So kiss on,
To make that thousand up a million.
Treble that million,
And when that is done,
Let's kiss afresh,
As when we first begun.

The mission of this not-for-profit website is to promote clear insights
and toleration regarding the many variations of primary relationships that
exist in our world. We ask for neither acceptance or approval but
hope that each visitor who reviews the pages of this site will leave them
with a better understanding of the numerous cultural, historical, preferential,
religious, sexual, and sociological approaches to coupling that have always
existed and will continue to exist as long as there are at least two human
beings living on this planet. If the effort put into creating and
maintaining this site results in others coming to the realization that
the basic human need to love and be loved takes on many forms which are
accepted by those who practice them, whether right or wrong as determined
by the personal belief system of others, then it will have served it's
purpose well. |
