The
Treasure Hunt...
-
As Vincent made his way up the front steps of their home,
Kira's sultry voice-mail message continued to run through his mind. "Just
remember to read the note on the table by the front door when you first
get home and, whatever you do, follow the instructions."
|
Closing the door behind him, he immediately
noticed the piece of paper that was taped to the front closet door. It
was folded with his name written on the outside. He couldn't help but notice
that it was |
heavily perfumed. Kira's favorite scent filled the entranceway. "Please
hang up your coat and set your briefcase down for the evening. Go directly
to the bedroom and you will find your next set of directions waiting on
the bed."
As he made his way up the stairway, the sense of anticipation
was beginning to build. He chuckled to himself. This was classic Kira.
She reveled in planning these special evenings for the two of them and
he loved her for it.
There, on the pillow sham was the next note. As he began
to unfold it, he raised his voice loud enough for anyone in the house to
hear him say, "If you think you're getting me excited, well, you are!"
No one answered.
The note simply said, "Now, fold the comforter back, fluff
up the pillows, and then go into the bathroom."
It was signed with the impression of her lips in her favorite
shade of lipstick. |

With the comforter folded down to the end of the bedand
the pillows nicely fluffed, Vincent made his way into their master bathroom.
The note taped to the mirror above the sink was not folded like the previous
two had been. A drawing of a smiling face with a winking eye introduced
the message below..... "Take your clothes off and put on things that I
have hung up on the back of the bathroom door. Once you have changed, come
back
downstairs."
Men usually don't purr. Vincent was purring.
When he reached the bottom of the stairway, he noticed
a foil covered object laying on the floor a few inches from the bottom
step. The note on the wall had obviously been placed there while he was
changing into his pajamas and robe. It simply said, "Follow the candy kisses
with more kisses to follow."
He picked up each piece of candy as he made his way around
the corner and down the three steps that led into their family room. The
rest of the main floor was darkened except for the dim light coming from
several candles set on various tables. Soft instrumental music filled the
room creating a very calm and romantic atmosphere.
There, reclining on a big fluffy blanket on the floor,
sat Kira wearing her black silk robe and holding up a long-stemmed glass
half filled with wine. He took it from her hand and, not sure exactly what
to say, simply exclaimed, "Wow!"
Without saying a word, she motioned for him to lay down
next to her. He didn't argue. In fact, he somehow managed to get to the
spot she had layed out for him at record speed.
Kira giggled for only a moment and then handed him an
envelope. Inside were one of those cards that was blank on the inside.
Her handwritten message instructed him to remain quiet and let her be in
charge. The words "at least for the next fifteen minutes" was written in
parenthesis.
He smiled and nodded that he would comply. |

She reached up to the coffee table next to her and placed
a plate on the blanket down between them. With a sweet smile on her face,
she began feeding him his dinner. A nice Caesar salad, some bite sized
pieces of steak (medium-well), and baked potato with sour cream sauce.
Vincent smiled within himself and could think of only one word.....Heaven.
He enjoyed every bite as they looked into each other's
eyes, exchanging smiles, and feeling the loving tenderness between them.
As she watched him enjoy the last morsel of steak, she spoke for the first
time. "And what do you think comes next?"
"You tell me," he responded.
"No, you tell me," she replied in a low, sultry voice.
Vincent thought for a moment and then asked, "Dessert?"
Kira smiled, opened her robe, and simply uttered, "Uhuh."
The best treasure does not come in a wooden box full of
golden coins and large jewels. Satin and lace, filled with love between
two people, can be so much more valuable.
Another romantic evening. |
